His Theatre of Death Tour comes Oct. 5 to Peabody Auditorium in Daytona Beach

In recent months, local musician Rick Simpson would take his guitar and perform for recovering stroke patients at a rehab center. Never mind that the 61-year-old Simpson was himself a client at the center, battling lymphoma and recovering from having a pacemaker put in him.

When Judas Priest performs Aug. 15 at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, they'll be returning to their leather-and-chains roots with lots of thunder lizard guitars amid Halford's muscular grunts and screams.

A former Phantom will star in an opera/musical theater series returning for its second season in Daytona Beach.

Flo Rida will be in concert at 10 p.m. Aug. 1 at the Coliseum Music Theater, 176 N. Beach St., Daytona Beach.
