Norah Jones chases new pirates

Another early frontrunner for Best Musical Makeover in 2010: Norah Jones.
    
Jones, remember, is the songbird known for her dreamy 2002 hit ballad, "Don't Know Why," which became the past decade's "Feelings" (all you kids under 30, ask your parents).
     
Of course, Jones has some help on her new "Chasing Pirates Remix EP," as she boldly goes where no Norah has gone before. The five-song set features three remakes of her single "Chasing Pirates," including the spooky, techno "Droogs Remix" by a collective that counts Beck among its artists.
     
Meanwhile "That's What I Said," a previously unreleased track, finds Norah channeling her inner Erykah Badu over a funky, bass-laden groove.
     
The "Chasing Pirates Remix EP" was released this week.
