Taking Notes

Who or what inspired you to take up music?

My father. He was a drummer and bought me my first drum set at 5 years old, and supported me my whole life growing up. And I have to mention my daughter Tiffany for being my biggest fan.

What was the most unusual or memorable gig you've ever played?

My most memorable gig was when I was 16 years old. I played in the battle of the bands at the Bandshell in Daytona with a band named Grand Fury with Randy Pepper.

What musician/celebrity/historical person would you most like to have dinner with?

Neil Peart (drummer for Rush). A lot of my playing styles and inspiration reflect my listening to him as I was growing up as a drummer.

What was the last book you read?

"Ghost Rider: Travels on the Healing Road" by Neil Peart.

What CD/tape/music is in your car/home stereo/iPod right now?

Tony Royster Jr.

What is your favorite movie?

"Exit Wounds" with Steven Seagal. I like action movies but especially this one because of the comedy of Anthony Anderson.

What was the best concert you ever attended?

Rush, West Palm Beach Amphitheater, 2007. It was a birthday gift from my daughter.

"If I didn't play music, I would ... ":

Definitely have a career in the music industry, but I would still be behind my drum set as a hobby.

"I'd sell my soul for ...":

Not for sale my friend, not for sale!
