Daytona-bred deejay/producer Wes "Diplo" Pentz is up to new tricks. In recent years Diplo (a 1997 grad of Mainland High in Daytona Beach) was nominated for a Grammy with fellow deejay/producer Switch for their work on M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes." That track featured Diplo's sample of the Clash, plus his trademark mash-up tricks and "found" noises and beats.
For his latest project, Diplo has remixed rapper Gucci Mane. The result, "Diplo Presents Free Gucci -- Best of the Cold War Mixtapes," is available for free download at maddecent.com.
