Brad Paisley goes 2.5D

Brad Paisley's PR folks are claiming his new video for "American Saturday Night" was shot in "2.5D."
    
"Over 20,000 still photos were used to build the 2.5D world that includes Paisley, his band the Drama Kings and over 100 'extras,'" they crow. Actually, they're closer to the mark when they admit "the final look" of the video is like "a pop-up book."
     
In any event, it's a nifty vid, and the up-tempo song is one of the cooler ones among country's current trend of embracing diversity. And besides, any country ditty that name-checks the Beatles' "Back in the U.S.S.R." has a cool quotient bigger than Garth Brook's ego.
