Before the Allman Brothers bear-hugged the blues and began their journey to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Gregg and Duane were mop-topped lads living in Daytona Beach and hoping their band, the Allman Joys, would become fab like the Beatles, the Dave Clark Five and other British Invasion rockers.

"Daytona Beach Weekend" also features music by the Nightcrawlers, Tommy Knight, Charles Vickers, Floyd Miles and others, as well as a recent interview with one-time Nightcrawler Chuck Conlon.
