Taking Notes

Who or what inspired you to take up music?

My parents always appreciated music. Mom was and still is a great singer, and Dad loves instruments. My grade-school music teacher, Mrs. Jones, was a big influence as well. She made music fun and rewarding.

What was the most unusual or memorable gig you've ever played?

One of the most memorable gigs would have to be at the Marriott Hotel in Wellesley, Mass. We (my band at the time) were playing music while O.J. was being chased. All eyes were on the TVs watching it.

What musician/celebrity/historical person would you most like to have dinner with?

Rosa Parks.

What was the last book you read?

Stephen King, "Misery."

What CD/tape/music is in your car/home stereo/iPod right now?

Stevie Ray Vaughan.

What is your favorite movie?

"Planes, Trains and Automobiles."

What was the best concert you ever attended?

Doobie Brothers, 1989, at Great Woods, Mass. -- great music and fans, a lot of fun people to party with.

"If I didn't play music, I would ... ":

I'm not really sure what I would do. I'm blessed enough that I get to pursue most of my interests already. Not being able to perform music would make me sad, but I'm not sure that there would be anything fulfilling enough to take its place.

"I'd sell my soul for ...":

My children's well being.

She is very pretty, and from her interview it is apparent that she has a good attitude.

I will have to go hear her sing soon. I haven't seen Silk and Steel since their old singer left. I remember they were a fun band to watch and listen.

Nice voice, and very nice on the eyes.

I agree with the comment left on youtube. She sounds just like Stevie Nicks covering Atlanta Rhythm Section. Good song choice, and the band sounds great for a live video.

Good move Silk -N- Steel!

Gina is an awesome addition to Silk 'n Steel. She rocked New Year's Eve at Main Street Station and will continue to rock the Daytona Beach areea club scene.

Continue rocking, and I will definitely be at some of your shows in the future.

You are not only a good singer, but a good person at heart, and I am very fortunate to have met you.
