Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne guest host WWE Raw

Ozzy and Sharon:
1. Star power: REACT: Ozzy oozes star power, much more than past guest hosts. That's a huge plus right off the bat (pun intended). He generated powerful pops.
2. He's no stranger. REACT: I enjoyed WWE showing Ozzy's early WrestleMania clip and his 2007 appearance.
3. Funny. REACT: Ozzy said he didn't remember either clip. Hilarious.
4. The chair. REACT: I like how Ozzy had his own "throne" for the opening segment. It gave him some power.
5. The Miz/The Legacy/Big Show/DX. REACT: Everyone wanted something, but this was Ozzy's main segment. DX calling the other four the "four ratings killers" was funny. But I hated how DX made the matches, whispering them to Ozzy.
6. "Raw's got talent." REACT: It was good to see The Great Khali back on television. Chris Masters had the funniest part in this segment with his pec dance to Ozzy's "Crazy Train." The Santino/Batman bite (and son-in-law comment) and the Chavo Guerrero/Jillian segments were weak. I hated Jillian, and Chavo, butchering "Close My Eyes Forever" by Ozzy and Lita Ford, one of the greatest songs of all-time. Ozzy was funny, again, when he said he would rename the song, "Close My Ears Forever." Hornswoggle, as Jack Osbourne, was funny.
7. Sharon. REACT: She did most of the speaking, which didn't bother me. She also slapped Jillian. Good for her.
8. Chris Jericho. REACT: Jericho said Ozzy was his hero, but Ozzy said he had no idea who Jericho was! Not smart writing.
Ozzy and Sharon grade: B. Star power and humor override limited talking, few segments and poor match-making. Sharon helped the grade.

The matches:
1. United States Champion The Miz beats Evan Bourne. REACT: Solid opener that elevated The Miz very nicely.
2. Sheamus beats Jamie Noble. REACT: Sheamus' pre-match promo was short but direct. WWE is really trying to put him over, but it's going to take awhile. I hate rematches from the previous week and didn't get the point until the referee stopped the match and Noble took and sold an impressive beatdown. The powerbomb on the floor was sick-looking. We'll see how much WWE follows up Noble's "back and neck" injuries. WWE later followed up with Sheamus recaps, so the push is strong.
3. Kofi Kingston/MVP/Mark Henry beat The Legacy/Randy Orton. REACT: Kofi vs. Orton is a nice, refreshing feud. I'm glad WWE held off on the singles bout here. This was a strong match.
4. Alicia Fox beats Kelly Kelly, Eve, Gail Kim, Brie Bella and Nikki Bella in a Divas Battle Royal. REACT: It looks like WWE will push a Kelly Kelly-Gail Kim angle and continue the Eve-Jack Swagger angle. This forced Alicia to win here, where she gets the Women's Champion Melina next. Eve stood out in this match with three straight dropkicks.
5. United Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho beats WWE Champion John Cena and Unified Tag Team Champion Big Show in a Non-title Triple-Threat Match. REACT: Shame on WWE for going to commercial right away. Cena took a beatdown, including an ugly drop onto his neck by Big Show. I like how Cena didn't win -- the odds were against him. I also like how DX took a beatdown for a change.
Raw grade: C+. Kofi-Orton has my interest, and I've been a fan of Sheamus since I saw him in FCW.

Other thoughts:
1. Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler. REACT: It was a bad night for these two. Cole said "Buffer and Grill" and not "Buffet and Grill" for an advertisement promo, and Lawler said "shut up Lillian" instead of Jillian in the "Raw's got talent" segment. Cole also said Ozzy should add the "Raw's got talent" segment to his upcoming book, which I assume is already written!
2. Rey Mysterio vs. Batista. REACT: You know it's a big feud when Raw makes mention of a Smackdown feud. This is a good sign.
3. Hornswoggle vs. DX. REACT: There better be a payoff. This angle bores me.
4. John Cena-Triple H-Shawn Michaels. REACT: They all tried to be funny, and were, this week. I like this, for now, until they will get serious later.
5. HHH on the microphone. REACT: It was hilarious when his headphone fell and he said, "This is not easy. People yellling in your ear all the time."

Future guest hosts:
1. Boxer Ricky Hatton will guest host Raw in Sheffield, England on Nov. 9. REACT: U.S. fans won't care.
2. Roddy Piper to guest host a future Raw, and he wants "one more match." REACT: Expect both to happen.
