Sickles High School (7950 Gunn Highway) in Tampa will host this Florida Kids Dual Meet Folkstyle Championship on Jan. 3, according to a press release from WWE.

Tickets are $3 at the door, and the public is invited. All proceeds benefit Guardian Wrestling.

Teams competing in this FAWA sanctioned event are are Brandon, Florida Jets, Guardians, Manatee, Naples Sharks, Northport, Palmetto Bears and BC PAL Gators.

The format is an eight-team dual meet tournament for Pee Wee through Novice using 2008 age qualifications. Weight classes are 42, 46, 50, 54, 58, 62, 66, 70, 74, 78, 82, 86, 92, 108, 119, 131 and 143.

Weigh-ins are 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. with a start time of 11:15 a.m. The matches are three one-minute periods.

Team trophies will be awarded for first through fourth, and individual medals will be awarded to all participants.

The Brisco Challenge is named in Gerald Brisco's honor. Brisco was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008. Along with his brother Jack, they were known as the Brisco Brothers in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.

Gerald wrestled for Oklahoma State University, and he has trained kids since the 1960s.
