Everyone is whining and complaining about the Jeff Hardy angle. It's wrestling, people!
OK, so saying Hardy was found unconscious in a hotel might not be the best angle this day and age with drug overdoses and such, but the few news organizations that did report this as fact should have checked their facts before jumping the gun.
Survivor Series:
Team HBK (with Rey Mysterio, The Great Khali and Cryme Tyme) vs. Team JBL (Kane, MVP, The Miz, John Morrison). REACT: So, MVP got a pin. Is his losing streak over? I was right with Michaels being one of the survivors. But Khali and Mysterio survived as well. MATCH PICK: 1-0.
Team Raw (Beth Phoenix, Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, Candice Michelle, Jillian) vs. Team Smackdown (Michelle McCool, Maria, Maryse, Victoria, Natayla. REACT: I thought McCool and Natayla would carry Smackdown, but WWE is giving Maryse a push. Phoenix was able to co-exist on Team Raw. MATCH PICK: 1-1.
Undertaker vs. Big Show in a casket match. REACT: This match got some really bad reviews. So much for my thought of Undertaker taking time off after a loss. MATCH PICK: 1-2.
Team Batista (with R-Truth, Matt Hardy, CM Punk, Kofi Kingston) vs. Team Orton (with Cody Rhodes, William Regal, Shelton Benjamin, Mark Henry). REACT: Regal was sick, so his quick elimination was excusable. I nailed this prediction, as Batista was indeed left with Orton and Rhodes. While Batista eliminated Rhodes, Orton got the best of him. MATCH PICK: 2-2.
WWE Champion Triple H vs. challengers Vladamir Kozlov vs. Jeff Hardy. REACT: Well, I thought WWE would give Hardy the title. But it's obvious WWE has no faith in Hardy or with a singles match of HHH vs. Kozlov. So, enter Edge. Your new WWE Champion. How exactly is he allowed to win the title, not being in the match and all? MATCH PICK: 2-3.
Chris Jericho vs. John Cena. REACT: This one was easy. Just like I said, Cena won. MATCH PICK: 3-3 (not bad for three traditional Survivor Series matches).
Raw
Did I enter a time capsule? Mr. Kennedy, Melina, Goldust and John Cena? It seemed like Mr. Kennedy was just on TV to hawk his movie. Melina will add some spunk to the women's division, as long as she can stay healthy. Goldust is a fun character, but I don't think he can carry a feud anymore. Yes, Cena is still a face character, but he's showing a brutal side -- seen in his beatdown of Chris Jericho. It's obvious Randy Orton and Batista will be playing into the world-title picture close to WresteMania XXV -- that's why Jericho is in the title picture now. And poor Kane. WWE is already advertising Cena vs. Jericho, so why have Kane vs. Jericho next week? While Raw got three key players back, it was strange how this Shane vs. Stephanie McMahon feud seemed to also come out of nowhere. The Intercontinental Title Tournament is always a fun concept -- with CM Punk and Kofi Kingston winning, it won't surprise me at all if John Morrison (over Finlay) and The Miz (over Rey Mysterio) win their matches next week -- which would give us teammates vs. teammates in the semifinals (expect Punk to win the whole thing). JBL's "beneficial offer" with Shawn Michaels peeks my interest.
