WHEN: The fair opens Thursday Nov. 5, and continues through Nov. 15

WHERE: Volusia County Fairgrounds, S.R. 44 just east of Interstate 4.

COSTS: Admission is $8 for ages 13 and older, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and younger with adult. Tickets to the Anderson concert are $10 plus gate admission. Opening day admission is free. The Greenwood and the Comets/Del Vikings concerts, plus the daily entertainment, are free with gate admission.

THURSDAY

TIME: 4 p.m. until the midway closes at about midnight.

ETC.: Free admission, all rides $1 per ticket; 7 p.m., opening ceremony, Tommy Lawrence Arena; 7 p.m., breeding swine, Townsend Livestock Pavilion; 7:30 p.m., Miss Volusia County Fair, TommyLawrence Arena.


FRIDAY

TIME: 4 p.m. until the midway closes at about 1 a.m.

ETC.: 7 p.m., breeding ewe, Townsend Pavilion; 8 p.m, Lee Greenwood in concert, Lawrence Arena.


SATURDAY

TIME: 11 a.m. until midway closes at about 1 a.m.


SUNDAY

TIME: 11 a.m. until midway closes at about midnight.

ETC.: 3 p.m., The Hoppers in concert, Tommy Lawrence Arena; 7 p.m., amateur talent show, Lawrence Arena.


MONDAY

TIME: 4 p.m. until the midway closes at about midnight.

ETC.: 7 p.m., market lamb show, Townsend Pavilion.


TUESDAY

TIME: 2 p.m. until midway closes at about midnight.

ETC.: 55 and older, half price admission until 7 p.m.; 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., Bill Haley's Comets and The Del Vikings; 7 p.m., student day, with students 18 and under admitted from from 4 to 7 p.m.; 7 p.m., market swine show, Townsend Pavilion.


WEDNESDAY

TIME: 4 p.m. until the midway closes at about midnight.

ETC.: 7 p.m., market steer show, Townsend Pavilion.


THURSDAY

TIME: 4 p.m. until the midway closes at about midnight.

ETC.: students 18 and under admitted free with an empty Coca-Cola product can; 6 p.m., lifestock auction, lamb, steer and swine, Townsend Pavilion.


NOV. 13

TIME: 4 p.m. until the midway closes at about 1 a.m.

ETC.: 7 p.m., dairy goat show, Townsend Pavilion.


NOV. 14

TIME: 11 a.m. until midway closes at about 1 a.m.

ETC.: 1 p.m., meat goat show, Lawrence Arena; 7 p.m., registered beef breeding show; 8 p.m., Keith Anderson in concert, Lawrence Arena.


NOV. 15

TIME: 2 p.m. until midway closes at about 9 p.m.

ETC.: last day of the fair; 11 a.m., chicken contest, Townsend Pavilion; 1 p.m., barrel racing, Cattlemen's Arena; 9 p.m., fair closes.
