One of People magazine's "50 Hottest Bachelors" -- and one of country music's hottest stars -- will perform at this year's Volusia County Fair and Youth Show.

Keith Anderson, known for such hits as "I Still Miss You," "Pickin' Wildflowers" and "Every Time I Hear Your Name," will be in concert Nov. 14 at the fair.
    
America's most patriotic country star, Lee Greenwood, performs Nov. 6. Other fair entertainment includes a concert by the current incarnations of Bill Haley's Comets and the doo-wop group the Del- Vikings.
     
The fair opens Nov. 5 and continues through Nov. 15 at the Volusia County Fairgrounds, State Road 44 just east of Interstate 4. Fair times are:
 
  • 4 p.m. until the midway closes Nov. 5-6, 9, 11 and 12-13.
  • 11 a.m. until midway closes Nov. 7-8 and 14.
  • 2 p.m. until midway closes Nov. 10; and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 15.
     
The midway closes at midnight all days except 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 9 p.m. the final Sunday.
     
Admission is $8 for ages 13 and older, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and younger with adult. Tickets to the Anderson concert are $10 plus gate admission. Opening day admission is free.
 
The Greenwood and the Comets/Del Vikings concerts, plus the daily entertainment, are free with gate admission. Daily entertainment includes teen rocker Chris Via, Denny the Clown, the Marcan Tigers, fair mascot Jesse the Pig, Fire Fighters Kids Show, hypnotist Jerry Harris and more.

"American Patriot," his 1992 album, included that hit plus "The Pledge of Allegiance," "America," "This Land Is Your Land," "The Battle Hymn of the Republic," "God Bless America," "Dixie" and "The Star Spangled Banner."
     
On the country side, Greenwood is known for such hits as "Ring on Her Finger, Time on Her Hands," "It Turns Me Inside Out," "Somebody's Gonna Love You," "I Don't Mind the Thorns (If You're the Rose)" and "Dixie Road."
 
  • The Hoppers in concert, 3 p.m. Sunday, Lawrence Arena. Amateur talent show, 7 p.m. Sunday, Lawrence Arena.
 
  • Senior Citizens Day, Tuesday -- half-price gate admission for patrons ages 55 and older until 7 p.m.
     
  • Student Day, Tuesday -- free admission for students ages 18 and younger from 4 to 7 p.m.
     
  • Bill Haley's Comets and the Del Vikings in concert, 4 and 8 p.m. Tuesday.
 
  • Keith Anderson in concert, 8 p.m. Nov. 14, Lawrence Arena. Along with writing or co-writing many of his own hits, Anderson is a prolific songwriter who penned "Lost in This Moment, a No. 1 smash for Big & Rich; the Grammy-nominated "Beer Run (B Double E Double Are You In?)" for Garth Brooks and George Jones; and "The Bed" for Gretchen Wilson.
