ACC riverfest poster.JPGCentral Florida's unofficial festival season continues this weekend.
    
The Halifax River will provide the scenic backdrop for Ormond Beach MainStreet's inaugural Riverfest, a festival that will offer three stages of continual entertainment, kayak races and more.
     
RiverFest will be 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 21 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 22 at Rockerfeller Gardens and Fortunado Park, at the east end of the Granada Bridge.
     
The festival will feature 35 music artists performing on three stages, including singer-guitarist Rod MacDonald, a co-founder of the Greenwich Village Folk Festival and writer of the song "American Jerusalem," and singer-guitarist Amy Carol Webb.
     
Other activities include a "MainStreet Marketplace," kayak races on Saturday open to all ages and skill levels, the Pilgrim's Family Fun/Run Walk at 8 a.m. Saturday, rowing and sculling races on Sunday, food venders from area restaurants, a children's corner with a climbing wall and other games, and a "Touch a Truck" exhibit with fire engines, ambulances and construction vehicles.

The 17th annual DeLand Fall Festival of the Arts, featuring more than 200 artists from across the nation as well as area music acts, will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 21-22 along Woodland Boulevard between Indiana and Howry avenues, DeLand.

The juried fine arts show will feature paintings, pastels, sculpture, glass work, wood carvings, photography, pottery and more, available for purchase directly from the artists.
     
Music performances will be at the Pioneer Park Stage on the corner of Rich Avenue and Woodland. Saturday's lineup includes the Panorama Jamma Steel Drum Band, jazz guitar group the Cook Trio, modern rock band Dish and blues musician Mark Hodgson. Sunday's lineup includes acoustic guitarist Sam Pacetti, singer-guitarist Magda Hiller, roots rock and blues band Lauris Vidal and His Warm Guns and roots-blues guitarist Ben Prestage.
     
The festival also will feature music from 4:30 to approximately 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the Beer Garden at Da Vinci, 112 W. Georgia Ave. The lineup includes the Cook Trio, Dish, Big Jef Special, White Lion with the Lionforce Band, and Coyotes and Towndogs.
