You guys seemed to like last week's truth and rumors format. And since I have the wonderful ability to grant your wishes, here are some more ...
2FAN219ACC.JPGRumor: Warner Bros.' films won't be available to rent at your neighborhood Redbox rental kiosk. Verdict: False.

The studio and the rental company have agreed on a deal to bring Warner Bros. flicks back to the rental company. But there is a catch. Films will only be available for rental 28 days after their release date.

This agreement won't affect Blockbuster or Netflix as of yet, but it could eventually. Studios are claiming that the availability of cheap rentals via outlets like Redbox, who offer one night rentals for a buck, are killing their lucrative DVD sale businesses.

But does a 28-day window solve that issue? Just because the film will not be available to rent for four weeks does not necessarily mean that a cash-strapped consumer would run out and buy the film before then.

And if this idea frustrates you, I've got more bad news. Other studios like Sony, Paramount and Lionsgate are eyeing the same deal.

hbo-on-itunes.jpgRumor: Cable monster HBO will launch a new Web site airing its films and shows for free for current HBO subscribers. Verdict: True.

This week, the network unveiled HBO GO, a new site that will stream programming to the Web. "It's HBO on your computer," the press release says. According to Time Warner chief executive Jeffrey L. Bewkes, the service "will offer three times the content of what's on HBO On Demand today."

You can check it out now at hbogo.com.

kevin-eubanks.jpgRumor: Jay Leno's musical sidekick Kevin Eubanks will dump the "Tonight Show" host when he returns March 1. Verdict: False, sort of.

The always-laughing Eubanks will be back with Leno when he returns to television. But not for long.

It looks like Eubanks, who's been with Leno for 17 years, will still lead the band when the show returns, but he will be leaving in the first few months to "try other things."

FAN219ACC.JPGRumor: "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson is now available to go to bed with any lady who wants him. Verdict: True, sort of.

This week, a new product was unveiled through Etsy.com. It's called a "manllow." (That's half-man, half-pillow) And yes, you can get one in the form of Edward Cullen. For $35, it's just what the teenage girl or sad soccer mom in your life always wanted. What's that? You're on Team Jacob? They have you covered as well.

Rumor: Director Joe Johnston admits that his new film, "The Wolfman" is an absolute mess. Verdict: True.

The film has suffered its share of setbacks, including the original director, Mark Romanek, leaving the film, extensive reshoots and several different edits. The fear was that all these problems would severely affect the film. In an interview with Time Out, the director admitted to a few major issues with the film.

On original director Romanek being fired: "One of the issues with the previous director was that he had said he needed another 20 days and that became one of the areas of disagreement that led to [the studio] looking for a new director," said Johnston. "I told them I could do it. But after I was hired, we soon added about 17 pages back to the script, so that schedule no longer applied."

On filming: "In the original script, there was a much longer sequence at the end and one in London where the Wolfman is loose," he admits. "They were both cut to save money. We shot the film, put it together and it was immediately apparent why those sequences were in the story, and so we went back to shoot a bunch of new stuff for the end. We reshot other stuff as well."

What do you think, readers? Have you seen the film?
