"The Book of Eli:"
Jan. 15. Starring Denzel Washington and Gary Oldman.
What It's About: It seems like every other movie involves some kind of apocalyptic twist and Denzel's latest effort is no exception. Washington plays a lone warrior who has in his possession a book that holds the secrets to saving humanity. Oldman plays the guy trying to get it from him.
Also Opening: "When In Rome" starring Kristen Bell, Josh Duhamel. "Daybreakers" starring Ethan Hawke and Willem Dafoe. "Extraordinary Measures" starring Harrison Ford and Brendan Fraser.
FEBRUARY
"Shutter Island:"
Feb. 19. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Ruffalo.
What It's About: When you team Martin Scorsese with DiCaprio it's really hard to go wrong. (See: "The Departed") In this film, Scorsese delves into horror as two U.S. Marshals are sent to investigate the disappearance of a patient at a Boston mental hospital. And just as you would expect, life on Shutter Island is not what it seems.
Also Opening: "I Love You Phillip Morris" starring Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor. "Valentine's Day" starring Julia Roberts and Anne Hathaway. "The Wolfman" starring Benicio del Toro and Anthony Hopkins.

"Alice In Wonderland:" Starring Mia Wasikowska and Johnny Depp.
What It's About: You've read the book. You've seen the Disney classic and the countless film adaptations of the story. But you've never gone through the looking glass through the eyes of Tim Burton. Joining Wasikowska and Depp (who looks terrifically mad as the Hatter) are such names as Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, Michael Sheen, Christopher Lee and Alan Rickman.
Also Opening: "Green Zone" starring Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear. "Hot Tub Time Machine" starring John Cusack and Rob Corddry. "Clash of the Titans" starring Liam Neeson and Sam Worthington.
APRIL
"A Nightmare On Elm Street:" April 23. Starring Jackie Earle Haley and Rooney Mara.
What It's About: One. Two. Freddy's coming for you. Again. The gloved one is back but this time it's "Watchmen's" Jackie Earle Haley who will don the glove as horror icon Freddy Krueger.
Also Opening: "Wall Street 2" starring Michael Douglas and Shia LaBeouf. "Kick-Ass" starring Aaron Johnson and Nicolas Cage. "MacGruber" starring Will Forte and Ryan Phillippe.
MAY
"Iron Man 2:" May 7. Starring Robert Downey Jr. and Mickey Rourke
What It's About: After 2008's "Iron Man" brought in over $300 million, you knew a sequel would certainly be in the works. This is it. Downey Jr. is back as Tony Stark and high-flying superhero Iron Man. This time he battles Whiplash, played by a rough and tumble Mickey Rourke. (Is he ever not rough and tumble?) Biggest change here is the replacement of Terrence Howard with Don Cheadle who will take on the role of Rhodey.
Also Opening: "Robin Hood" starring Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett. "Shrek Forever After" starring the voices of Mike Myers and Cameron Diaz. "Sex and the City 2" starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall.
JUNE
"Toy Story 3:" June 18. Starring the voices of Tom Hanks and Tim Allen.
What It's About: It's been 10 years since Pixar brought us the last installment of the Buzz and Woody show. Joining the gang this time around are Michael Keaton, (as a Ken doll) Whoopi Goldberg and Timothy Dalton who voices something called a Mr. Pricklepants. "The Waterboy's" Blake Clark takes over the voice of Slinky Dog after the passing of Jim Varney in 2000.

JULY
"Sorcerer's Apprentice:" July 16. Starring Nicolas Cage and Jay Baruchel.
What It's About: One of the most well-known Disney shorts from "Fantasia" is getting the live action treatment with Cage and Baruchel. Set in modern day, Cage is the sorcerer to Baruchel's apprentice who gets into some trouble when the broomstick he puts a spell on takes on a mind of its own.

AUGUST
"The Expendables:" Aug. 13. Starring Sylvester Stallone and Mickey Rourke.
What It's About: "The Expendables" is about a team of mercenaries that ... who are we kidding? With this cast who cares what it's about. We're talking about a who's who of the action world: Stallone, Rourke, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger just to name a few. And if you must know, it's a bout a team that heads to South America to overthrow an evil dictator.

"The American:" Sept. 17. Starring George Clooney and Bruce Altman.
What It's About: Clooney goes on his annual Oscar hunt as a top level assassin who vows to give up his profession. As in most cases of hitman-trying-to-give-up-the-business, that last assignment does not go according to plan.

"The Zookeeper:" Oct. 8. Starring Kevin James and Adam Sandler.

Comic star Seth Rogen will don the mask as the vigilante crime-fighter. Rogen who has been seen in hits like "Superbad," Knocked Up" and "Funny People," also co-wrote the script with "Superbad" collaborator, Evan Goldberg.
Also Opening: "Yogi Bear" starring Tom Cavanagh and Dan Aykroyd. "Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" starring Georgie Henley and Skandar Keynes. "Tron Legacy" starring Jeff Bridges and Garrett Hedlund.
