Fanboy favorite Natalie Portman has been tabbed to star in and produce "Pride and Prejudice
and Zombies," an adaptation of the book by Seth Grahame-Smith and Jane
Austen. Yes, THAT "Pride and Prejudice." The original book written by Austen recieved the zombie treatment by Grahame-Smith and has since become a sensation.
Lionsgate will finance and distribute.
According to Variety, "the book tells the story of a woman's quest for love and independence amid the outbreak of a deadly virus that turns the undead into vicious killers.
Portman will play Elizabeth Bennet, who is distracted from her quest to eradicate the zombie menace by the arrival of Mr. Darcy."
