Taking Notes
Who or what inspired you to take up music?
My grandfather, Marvin Pelfrey. Also Mr. Robinson at Campbell Jr. (now Campbell Middle School in Daytona Beach), the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughan -- and it just comes natural.
What was the most unusual or memorable gig you've ever played?
Playing the Jagermeister stage during Bike Week as a little duo with backing tracks was the most unusual. And playing a sax solo at the Peabody (Auditorium in Daytona Beach) to a packed house at 14 was pretty memorable.
What musician/celebrity/historical person would you most like to have dinner with?
John Lennon
What was the last book you read?
"With a Little Help from My Friends: The Making of Sgt. Pepper" by George Martin and William Pearson
What CD/tape/music is in your car/home stereo/iPod right now?
Kinda on a Beatles kick, so "Abbey Road."
What is your favorite movie?
"The Lord of the Rings"
What was the best concert you ever attended?
Clapton in Tampa. Just precision perfect show.
"If I didn't play music, I would . . . ":
Do something I don't do as well.
"I'd sell my soul for . . .":
My children and family.
