Hammock City
The yellow leaves blanket the ground beneath the swaying rainbow of hammocks sprawled across Purple Hat Amphitheater here at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. Woven, nylon, two-seaters and contraptions more fancy than my bed dot the tapered steps leading to the stage where Tim Reynolds is playing right now.

Meet Otis Scalleywag
We arrived and set up a tent around 4 p.m., just in time to catch the last two songs of Legendary J.C.'s. Eugene Snowden, energetic funk-gospel inspiration, tells the crowd "I'm going to play one song for you for the next 17 minutes. If you don't want to hear it, move closer." The dancing kids in front laughed, and Snowden responded with a belt of his Otis Redding-like chops.
