Here is WWE's list and my analysis
25. Rikishi: More of a comedy act with his dancing and Stink Face finisher.
24. Mike Awesome: Most of his best moments were outside of WWE.
23. Big Daddy V: Had a decent run as Mabel and Viscera, too.
22. One Man Gang: I enjoyed his run with Slick. His turn to Akeem was strange.
21. Mark Henry: I still say The World's Strongest Man will be known more for his big-money contract.
20. Haystacks Calhoun: Underrated, and should be ranked higher. He was the Andre of his time.
19. The Great Khali: Has to be one of the tallest guys on this list. Not very agile, but a funny man.
18. Kamala: I was a big fan of his. Destructive, yet loved to slap his belly. I think he should be ranked higher.
17. King Kong Bundy: Great matches with Hulk Hogan, and stints on "Married With Children." Bonus points there.
16. Bruiser Brody: Feared and scary-looking, I'd bump him up a few spots.
15. Umaga: Had a decent run in a few big-time matches, but too many up-and-down pushes.
14. Big John Studd: When I think of Andre, I almost always then think of Studd. He had a great run.
13. Earthquake: Though he might be ranked too high, but he was involved in many angles (Hogan, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, and later the tag-team scene). The stomp and the splash were a strong 1-2.
12. Killer Kowalski: Sadly, to younger fans, may be known more for training Triple H. Seeing who is still ahead of him, I'd bump him up a few notches, as he was big during his time.
11. Bam Bam Bigelow: Agile, very agile. But I think he did more in ECW.
10. Sid: One of my all-time favorites, who would probably still be wrestling today if not for his gruesome injury. Had one scary look that just drew you in to his character.
9. Vader: I think he's ranked a little too high. He had his moments, though.
8. Diesel: Interesting spot for our local wrestler Kevin Nash, one of the few on this list still wrestling. I think No. 8 is pretty accurate.
7. Big Cat Ernie Ladd: Underated and respected. Great combination.
6. Kane: Tons of interesting feuds and angles, and he's had a great run. Still going, too.
5. Gorilla Monsoon: I loved his announcing, but his wrestling ranked as the best for his time. Check out old clips.
4. Yokozuna: I think his ranking is too high. He had a handful of strong feuds, but I'd throw a name or two in front of him.
3. Big Show: He could have been used so much better in WWE. He still can be. Don't get me wrong, he's been used nicely. He did become the first to hold all three major world titles.
2. Andre The Giant: Perfect spot for the best big man of my childhood.
1. The Undertaker: Perfect spot for the best big man of my adulthood.
My list:
I'd rank Undertaker and Andre first and second, respectively. Rounding out my top five would be Gorilla Monsoon (3), Kane (4) and Big Show (5). From there, everything's debatable.
Of course, if you want to include Hulk Hogan on this list, which you should, I'd go Hogan, Undertaker, Andre, Gorilla and Kane.
LATEST HEADLINES AND MY REACTS
Linda McMahon vs. Richard Blumenthal
Linda McMahon gets good news in her hope to be a United States Senator as the Democratic nominee front-runner Richard Blumenthal lied about being a Vietnam war veteran.
This, from AP: "One of Blumenthal's Republican opponents, former WWE wrestling executive Linda McMahon, claimed to have given video of the Norwalk event to the Times after more than two months of "deep, persistent" research. The Times refused to comment on its sources. The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee said it was not surprised that McMahon's campaign "cherry-picked" the quotes, "considering all of the debauchery" at the WWE under her watch. And Connecticut Democratic chairwoman Nancy DiNardo called the accusations "the lowest kind of political smear.''
REACT: Face it, Blumenthal, you were caught! Just another politician who was trying to use McMahon's WWE history against her had his lying bite him in the ass.
WWE
Apparently, "special Raws" means the draft doesn't apply. REACT: Makes sense, as long as we don't have too many "special Raws."
WWE looking for the next big African-American star out of Kofi Kingston, MVP, JTG and Shad. REACT: Nothing against these guys, but why was Shelton Benjamin let go exactly?
Last week's NXT has 16 minutes of Rookies doing challenges while Raw had 14 minutes of wrestling. REACT: Ouch! WWE becoming TNA Wrestling?
WWE COO Donna Goldsmith hints of talks with Nickelodeon about an animated TV series. REACT: That would be awesome. The WWF cartoon was "it" back in the day.
Rey Mysterio reportedly signs new deal. REACT: This is surprising. Here's hoping his knee holds up and WWE isn't "stuck" with his contract.
TNA Wrestling
Hogan, 56, has heart scare. REACT: Glad to hear the big man is OK. Being hooked up to all sorts of cords at the hospital is not fun.
Hogan wears hair extensions after melting off his blond hair in a dyeing mishap. REACT: Accidents happen, but this is rather informative and funny.
