The Undertaker is the key to the entire card.
Most recently, WWE has hinted at having Shawn Michaels face him.
We will find out more on Monday's Raw, but will we really know until after the Royal Rumble is over? I don't think so.
So, on that note, let's predict the card for March 28 (in order of importance):
1. The Rock vs. John Cena. REACT: Notice how Dwayne Johnson is using The Rock again in promoting his movies? The seeds have been planted for this match to happen, by both sides. WINNER: Cena.
2. Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon. REACT: Bret's back. Vince hates him. There will be a match. And it will probably be ugly. WINNER: Hart.
3. The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels: Seems like a case of no one being left to wrestle Undertaker. That's a shame, as I hate pay-per-view rematches and especially WrestleMania rematches. WINNER: Michaels.
4. Edge vs. Chris Jericho. REACT: Edge is coming back from injury, so this match depends on that. But moving Jericho off Raw (well, kind of) plants the seeds for this to happen. Plus, a feud has been hinted at in past story lines. Let's just hope Edge doesn't rush to return, and gets hurt, again. WINNER: Jericho.
5. Triple H vs. Sheamus. REACT: They are workout and partners, and HHH is Sheamus' mentor. Will it be for the title? Probably. But, if not, why not make it a "get a tan match" if Sheamus loses. WINNER: Triple H.
6. Randy Orton vs. Ted DiBiase Jr. REACT: Much like Undertaker-Michaels, this match seems to be a case of Orton has to wrestle someone. Although in this case, it makes sense as DiBiase can face-turn (finally) on Orton to set it up. WINNER: Orton.
7. CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio. REACT: There was concerns a few weeks ago about Mysterio's knee, but he's in the story lines for a few more months. All indications have this being a Mask vs. Hair match. Jeff Hardy was likely Punk's opponent, but that match was dead when Hardy showed up in TNA Wrestling. WINNER: Mysterio.
8. Money in the Bank Ladder Match. REACT: Kofi Kingston seems to be the early favorite. I would put my money on John Morrision, assuming he doesn't have a singles match. WINNER: Morrison.
9. Women's match: Maryse vs. Michelle McCool. REACT: It's heel vs. heel. But it's likely champion vs. champion. And why not unify the women's belts in this one? WINNER: Maryse (WWE seems a little more high on her).
Does anyone else deserve a match?
Yes. Some of these names would be great candidates for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, though. So keep that in mind.
Batista is the odd man out right now. But, if The Rock isn't available, there are rumblings of Batista-Cena.
Other names that should have a match include John Morrison, MVP, Kofi Kingston, The Miz and ECW Champion Christian.
Wrestlers who have a 50-50 shot of having a match include Big Show, Cody Rhodes, Evan Bourne, Jack Swagger, Drew McIntyre, Dolph Ziggler, Kane, Matt Hardy, R-Truth and Shelton Benjamin.
Other WrestleMania Reacts
The 2010 WWE Hall of Fame potential class includes Ted DiBiase, King Kong Bundy, Lawrence Taylor, Jake Roberts, The Ultimate Warrior and Stu Hart. REACT: DiBiase seems like a given. Bundy is likely, but I don't see Taylor or Roberts happening. The Warrior is more possible by the day, as Vince McMahon might want to rub that one in Hulk Hogan's face. That and the Warrior-WWE lawsuit finally closed Nov. 19. Hart is all but official.
WrestleMania 27: Toronto is the front-runner, but Miami, Indianapolis and Atlanta are in the running. REACT: Nothing against our fellow Canadians up north, but I'd prefer the event is closer to us. Atlanta sounds great to me.
LATEST HEADLINES AND MY REACTS
WWE
http://www.wickedlocal.com/saugus reports a criminal complaint for simple assault and battery has been filed against Randy Orton, who allegedly spat gum in a 15-year-old autography seeker and used profanity. REACT: If it's like past incidents involving fans and wrestlers, there is probably nothing to it. Let's hope that's the case here. WWE doesn't need this. If it is true, it supports my belief that Orton isn't WWE's star of the future. Again, let's hope there is nothing to it.
Bret Hart merchanise reportedly selling like crazy. REACT: Great to hear!
The Brian Kendrick tells Slam.Canoe.ca that WWE Executive Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis acted "cowardly" by firing him over the phone. REACT: If true, that's not a way to fire someone.
Finish in Monday's Orton-Cena-Kingston match was botched as Orton mentioned something to the camera. REACT: I had to go back and watch this, and sure enough, Orton was ticked at the match ending. While I didn't see a botched match ending, I'm sure Orton had reason to be upset. But shame on him for letting his emotions get the best of him.
TNA Wrestling
Vince Russo said a Monday and Thursday show have been discussed, but that it depends on Spike. REACT: That would surprise me, although the roster is capable of doing this.
Russo says if he could bring in five guys from WWE or ROH, it would be Randy Orton (five times). REACT: That's funny. Orton would be on my top-five list, but he's not worth five picks.
Brooke Hogan tells Bubba the Love Sponge she is going to be in Orlando this Monday for the "live broadcast." REACT: The beans have been spilled, but why would this not be promoted? Well, turns out Brooke reportedly thought the show was live. It's not.
