I didn't see the show, but that's not going to stop the comments about what happened and how I did on predictions:
Team Miz (The Miz, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger) beats Team Morrison (John Morrison, Matt Hardy, Evan Bourne, Shelton Benjamin, Finlay). The right team won this one. I was correct in three members of Team Miz would survive, but I only got Sheamus of those three. That's big for McIntyre and The Miz. The Scott Armstrong injury, since he was in an angle, is just bizarre. It'll be interesting to see what's next for the young guns on Team Miz. PICK: I'm 1-0.
Batista beats Rey Mysterio. Who knew Mysterio needed surgery so soon? I didn't. Batista was way over in his hometown of Washington, D.C., which couldn't haven't pleased WWE. PICK: I'm 1-1.
Team Kingston (Kofi Kingston, MVP, Mark Henry, ECW Champion Christian, R-Truth) beats Team Orton (Randy Orton, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, William Regal). I was right on with Kingston, Orton and Punk being the final final three. WWE is giving Kingston a major push, having him pin two former world champions and doing so in a few seconds. PICK: I'm 1-2.
World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker beats Big Show vs. Chris Jericho (Triple Threat Match). I guess Jericho can say he didn't lose, as Undertaker got Big Show to tap out. Expect Jericho-Undertaker to drag until WrestleMania, I guess. PICK: I'm 1-3.
Team Mickie (Mickie James, Eve Torres, Kelly Kelly, Divas Champion Melina, Gail Kim) beats Team Michelle (Michelle McCool, Jillian Hall, Beth Phoenix, Layla, Alicia Fox). Correct on the pick and correct with the sole survivors in Mickie and Melina. I guess I know the Divas Division. PICK: I'm 2-3.
WWE Champion John Cena vs. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels (Triple Threat Match). Cena overcame some major odds in this match, which didn't see much of HHH vs. Michaels one-on-one. I guess WWE wants the strap on its merchandise-seller. PICK: I'm 2-4.
There's a three-hour Raw tonight. I'll be back later in the week with another post.
