I planned to make my last blog post Nov. 12, almost two weeks ago. But I've been out from work and just back to work today after dealing with ulcerative colitis. It has not been fun, and I'm still not 100 percent. But I'm improving, little by little, day by day, and I hope to get back to blogging a few times per week shortly.
The after-Raw blog each Monday night/Tuesday morning will end. I will start blogging short thoughts on the all of the shows when I do posts, which will be a few times per week on the hot topics in wrestling.
As for wrestling on TV, I watched the Roddy Piper guest-hosted Raw last Monday. It was one of the better shows with guest hosts. I didn't come close to watching much more wrestling -- I watched the match endings on a few of the other shows and I did watch the last two Smackdown main events (Jericho-Undertaker) and (Jericho/Big Show-Undertaker/Kane).
Outside of the shows, I haven't been on the wrestling Internet since about Nov. 11. I'm going in blind for today's Survivor Series, but here goes:
World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker vs. Big Show vs. Chris Jericho (Triple Threat Match): Undertaker shouldn't have the belt through the holidays leading into the Royal Rumble. Neither should Big Show. Jericho should win this one. Need proof? He is dominant (example: Stone Cold and The Rock) in Triple Threat Matches.
Rey Mysterio vs. Batista: Mysterio has gotten the best of Batista lately, forcing most to think that trend will end. I don't buy a short feud. Batista didn't turn heel for one month. Go with Mysterio.
Team Kingston (Kofi Kingston, MVP, Mark Henry, ECW Champion Christian, R-Truth) vs. Team Orton (Randy Orton, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, William Regal): I like the makeup of Team Orton better. WWE is really pushing Kingston as a strong face, but I don't feel he has the supporting cast to get it done here. I see Orton and Punk surviving.
Team Morrison (John Morrison, Matt Hardy, Evan Bourne, Shelton Benjamin, Finlay) vs. Team Miz (The Miz, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger): Team Morrison is more established and more exciting to watch, but WWE is really high on several on Team Miz. I think Team Miz needs the win more, so I'll go with Ziggler, Sheamus and Swagger to survive.
WWE Champion John Cena vs. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels (Triple Threat Match): The odds are definitely against Cena in this one. HHH doesn't need the belt, again. I think Michaels has a strong title run in him going into WrestleMania.
Team Mickie (Mickie James, Eve Torres, Kelly Kelly, Divas Champion Melina, Gail Kim) vs. Team Michelle (Michelle McCool, Jillian Hall, Beth Phoenix, Layla, Alicia Fox): Michelle McCool is treating this feud like a joke, which is a shame. As a result, I see Team Mickie getting some redemption. Go with Mickie and Melina as survivors.
