I ran across two links in the past week or so about the Benoit Family Tragedy.
Both links hit the Internet as author Irvin Muchnick is releasing his "Chris and Nancy: The True Story of the Benoit Murder-Suicide and Pro Wrestling's Cocktail of Death."

The first link is: http://www.muchnick.net/
It has the foreword, the author's introduction, the table of contents and ordering information -- along with some blog, twitter feed and video links (all of which are interesting).

The second can be found here: http://tinyurl.com/y8zkojm
It explains WWE's reaction (from Vince McMahon's attorney Jerry McDevitt) to Muchnick's book.

Without having read the book, I can't really comment on it.

However, I will say the book's two goals -- according to Muchnick -- are to "compile a comprehensive and accurate history of what happened in Fayette County, Georgia" and to dissect how nothing has changed as a result of Benoit.

I think it's interesting someone has tried to compile "what happened."

However, I disagree that nothing has changed. Maybe the change wasn't earth-shaking the immediate weeks after the Benoit Family Tragedy, but it does seem like things are being taken more seriously now (Rey Mysterio is the best and most current example).

Whether you agree with Muchnick or not, the book seems like a compelling read. You're bound to shift your thinking strongly one way or another after reading it.

Check it out.
